About Us

Our Background

I started a travel club in 2011 because I was frustrated with constantly trying to find a friend to travel with me, only to have them cancel at the last minute. I worked with a travel agency to book the international trips and organized local and domestic trips on my own. In 2017, I retired from my government job and became a travel agent so I could book the trips for my club myself. It has been a fantastic journey - I have made so many friends and shared many wonderful, memory-making experiences! Join us, as we continue Wandering the globe, Exploring the landscape and Learning about other cultures!

How We Got Started

I've always had wanderlust! At a very young age I would get excited for the Sunday drives my parents would take and heaven was a road trip to my Uncle's farm, two states away! My parents didn't travel, so in my teens I ventured out on a few "unapproved" expeditions and as soon as I was 18, I went on a road trip to sunny California and just kept going!

Top Destinations

Picking a favorite destination is like choosing between your children, but I'll never forget South Africa, screaming in delight at seeing the first group of Impala bounding across the road, visiting God's Window and Potholes Canyon, and petting a rhinoceros. Also very memorable is Easter Island with its wandering horses and mysterious Moai.  Honorable mentions go to Poland, Japan, New Zealand and Montenegro.
